All beginning riders should spend a few weeks here in the first 6 months they are riding. You'll appreciate any other roads (and traffic) once you've ridden in LA. Yes I'll say it! Illinois. When the crops are coming in it is beautiful. Small towns and old barns galore. When you are tired of the flatlands find a river. The Kankakee, Illinois, Mississippi and many others have great roads along side. (Oh, and it is handy cause I live here)

Anywhere along or near the HWY 101 corridor north of San Francisco. Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Humboldt Counties in particular. The riding up here is so awesome, magazine articles frequently feature rides right in our own backyard!

I love New Hampshire!! From my house the beautiful White mountains are one hour away. The coast is 10 miles, Massacussettes 14 miles, Maine 5 miles, Vermont 80 miles, all country roads or highway if I need to get ther in a hurry. We even have Laconia Bike Week!! Check it out!!

West Virgina is Almost Heaven of course. Those boys know how to build some great roads for motorcyclists. On RT 50 from Clarksburg to the MD line on a couple of turn I passed my own tailight. On one turn I think I passed it twice or was that 3 times.

Upper east Tennessee, we've got the ideal climate, not too hot or cold most of the year. Roan Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, smokey mtns. hwy 421, 321, 129 are great roads. You can be in Canada or key west via scenic roads in one long riding day. Coal fields with rustic roads are nearby. Lots of lakes to meander around.

I didn't know it at the time that the best place to live was on my parent's farm in Hazen, ND. I had over 1800 acres of the best hills and trails to ride in with no waiting. I would step out of our house, onto my bike and ride all day. My brother and I would spend the entire day on our bikes. I still go home to ride and now it is with my son who has also grown to love riding.

Believe it or not.. Minnesota! Although seasonal, there's nowhere with more of a variety of scenic rides and varying landscapes. And don't forget those lakes too! Spain. Mountains! There are too many to mention. They even have a festival on the second weekend of January where people from many countries come to enjoy riding in the cold. It is called "Pingüinos" (Penguins) and it is the craziest of times. With the support of the National Police and the towns and cities where it takes place. New Mexico, truly the Land of Enchantment! Did you see "Wild Hogs"? All filmed in New Mexico. Some really good runs as well - The Red River Run, the Fire & Ice Run are two good ones! And Always a GREAT turn out for the Christmas Toy Runs!

I live up in the desert so no place is too far to go, even Vegas or Laughlin, NV. I also love riding in Maui and on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The south eastern United States is in my opinion the best place to be a motorcyclist. Trail, street and track, it's all there and with weather to allow year round riding. When I lived my wife and I did not own a car until we started a family and we averaged 20,000 miles a year in daily commuting and casual riding. The roads, country side, history and great people are every thing a motorcyclist could ask for.

Quito, Ecuador is the best place to ride bikes. You can ride in the highlands, with amazing landscapes, and very curvy roads. Muddy, sandy, or gravel roads, very nice for all type of riders. Is trully the best place on Earth to ride.

Boise Idaho is perfect for me. We have great mountains, desert rides, deep canyon rides, high timber rides and lots of twistys in any direction. We have great off road trails and year round riding. Easy to avoid the freeways and congestion. When I roll out of the garage I only need a full tank of fuel and some idea of how long I want to ride a few hours or a few days.

I have lived in the northest most of my life and ridien in alot of cold weather , I moved to Phoenix Az 12 years ago and love it hereI can ride year round 300 days of sunshine and vegas or sea of cortez are all a days ride, I think the desert southwest is one of the top five, canyons and open plains we have it all , all year long!

I am pretty partial to the southeast US. We have lots and lots of great mountain roads that are challenging and/or scenic. We have a moderate climate that usually allows us to ride all year. I've lived here for over 30 years and still am finding new roads, and I ride 20 to 30K miles each year. What more could you want? Locally we have a strong vintage club and interest. That feeds my enjoyment of the old iron. And it's less than 8 hours to Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio and 5 hours to Barber.
